Ten Acts Filled with Traps
Vex 3 sends the stick figure through ten main acts and nine extra challenge stages. Each course becomes harder as more spikes, moving blades, falling platforms, water areas, and narrow passages appear.
Use the arrow keys or W, A, S, and D to run and jump. Press down while moving to slide. The character can also climb walls and swim through water. These actions often need to be combined inside one short part of a level.
A player may need to run, slide under a blade, jump onto a wall, and climb before another trap moves into place.
Flags Save Your Progress
Checkpoint flags divide each act into smaller sections. A red flag turns green after the character touches it. Failing after that point sends the player back to the active flag.
The checkpoint system makes difficult courses easier to practise. Players can study one group of traps at a time instead of repeating the full stage after every mistake.
Some acts also contain keys that open locked doors. The player may need to travel away from the main route, collect a key, and return without touching a hazard.
Entering the Challenge Stages
The nine challenge acts test the same movement skills in tighter areas. These courses leave less room for poor landings and late jumps. They suit players who already understand the standard stages.
Moving traps often follow a clear pattern. Watching one full movement before jumping can reveal the safest moment to cross. Fast reactions help, but learning the pattern works better than guessing.
Vex 3 also records finishing performance. Players can replay completed acts and work toward quicker times. A safe route may take longer, while a risky shortcut can improve the final result.
Vex 3 gives players many ways to move but keeps every control easy to understand. The challenge comes from using the correct action at the correct moment.
