A Rabbit and Frog Joined Together
Ribbit is a platform game about a strange creature made from half a rabbit and half a frog. The evil Doctor Siamese joins the two animals together during one of his experiments. The new creature escapes and bounces through dangerous areas while trying to catch the scientist responsible for the problem.
The character has a rabbit head on one side and a frog head on the other. Ribbit cannot walk across platforms like a normal game character. The creature keeps bouncing even when the player does not press a button. This makes every landing part of the next jump.
Turning During Each Bounce
Use the left and right arrow keys to rotate Ribbit in the air. The direction of the character decides where the next bounce will go. Pressing the space bar returns Ribbit to an upright position. These limited controls sound simple, but they take time to master.
A small turn creates a short sideways jump. A larger rotation sends Ribbit farther across the screen. The player must judge the next platform before the character touches the ground.
Rushing the controls can make Ribbit spin too far. A gentle correction often creates a safer landing. The player should also watch which side of the creature faces forward because this affects the angle of the next movement.
Avoiding Enemies and Dangerous Drops
The stages contain moving enemies, small platforms, walls, gaps, and other hazards. Some areas require Ribbit to bounce between narrow spaces. Others need a long jump made from the correct angle.
Landing near the middle of a platform gives the player more time to prepare. An edge landing can send the creature into danger before the player corrects its direction.
Ribbit rewards patience more than constant speed. Each failed jump helps show how much rotation the next attempt needs. The unusual movement makes the game feel different from a normal running adventure.
The goal remains clear throughout Ribbit. Guide the joined rabbit and frog across each stage, avoid the creatures protecting Doctor Siamese, and continue the chase toward freedom.
